Services administration and outsourcing

The advantages and benefits of ICT outsourcing are already well known these days, and few people doubt them or call them into question. The activity of a modern organisation these days requires more than just the linkage of ICT services with internal business and administrative activities. ICT services as processes themselves must be an integral part of the in-house processes. They must promptly react to the requirements and changes arising from the dynamic environment and requirements of trading. But ICT processes are not just an internal matter of the company or organisation. The modern information society requires that the information services of the cooperating organisations manage not only to cooperate, but also to link up organically and in terms of process they complement each other and thus allow to the greatest possible extent the utilisation of the synergetic potential of all participants.

Each comprehensive service can consist of several basic, unambiguously defined, configurable services, which can also be implemented independently. For each of the services, the constant and elective functional characteristics and parameters of the service level agreement (SLA) are agreed, as are other properties.

The basic outsourcing services which we provide include in particular the outsourcing of data warehouses, outsourcing of backup and archive services, outsourcing in the area of the LAN network, WAN, MAN,  SAN infrastructure services, administration of operating systems (Linux, Unix, MS Windows) and outsourcing of database services. We also offer the provision of call centre services and service desk. The rollout of outsourcing for other ICT services is being planned for the future. The database platforms Oracle, MS SQL and MySQL are currently available for the database services.

The hosting centres of the company Telefónica O2 Czech Republic where the services are performed represent highly secure, sophisticated environments specially built for the hosting of key components of network and information infrastructures of their customers. They are based on high-quality, robust international standards, they contain the most up-to-date cutting edge technology making it possible to offer space for the location of even the most critical applications. They currently represent the leading neutral hosting platform for large and medium-size companies and state administration, which use it very extensively in the same way as many leading providers of telecommunication services, ISP or internet portals. The hosting centres are equipped with backup power sources and redundant electrical energy inlets, accurate air-conditioning and automatic fire extinguishers, including electrical signalling. Communication links which ensure the essential connectivity and peering, i.e., connection to other national and multinational networks, are a matter of course. The data is protected against external attacks, the buildings are guarded and premises monitored.
