Logismart
Complex professional system for planning, monitoring and evaluating of movement and traffic of cars.
System philosophy
Complex professional system for the management of logistical processes containing connection of all necessary functions: evidence of orders and sources, monitoring, planning with optimization, evaluation, reporting and desk PC terminal with navigation.
The corner stone for increasing the effectiveness of logistics activities lies in the planning of repeatable routes of travels with automated optimization according to set parameters. When planning the routes, the utilization of the car is monitored based not only on weight, truckload, the amount of time it takes to serve the agreed orders, but also the correct planning according to the frequency of service and time required by the customer. The correctness of planning can be controlled based on mapped-out bases.
Monitoring in the on-line regime contains not only its own evidence of the car movement placed against a map base, but also monitoring of various parameters of usage and car operation and mainly the monitoring of activities of individual types of system upgrades with special vehicles, such as technical vehicles for waste disposal, cleaning vehicles, etc.
It concerns mainly the monitoring of trucks and special vehicles, i.e. organizations that provide services mainly in the sector of administration and maintenance of infrastructure (summer and winter maintenance, planning and evaluation of the state of town sections, waste disposal, bin collections and collection of large-volume containers, etc.).
The evaluation of Monitoring is presented as a variety of picture and text messages, but also as a graphical output presented directly on the mapped-out bases. The user can therefore view the movement of the vehicle on the map online and additionally can also see a variety of indicators, such as the parameters of consumption and performance for every movement the vehicles makes. In order to improve the quality
Dash-board PC terminal with navigation serves as a tool for the improvement of the driver’s work and quicker movement along the planned route. This PC terminal navigates the driver along the set points of interest and actively communicates with the system operator by exchanging information about arising obstacles, which disable the smooth movement of the vehicle (lacking communication, missing container, etc.), as well as about continuous changes along the route = communication between the vehicle and the system operator.
Evaluation of the routes is basically a comparison of planned routes with the routes that have actually been taken. Actual activities are available due to monitoring placed in the vehicles. The evaluation automatically gives a list of differences that have arisen when the tasks were carried out by the employees. These differences form the basis for solving any claim issues. All information are drawn against the mapped basis.
The system contains a complete evidence of orders and sources so as to be able to carry out all activities in individual modules, starting with business partners and the set deals, all the way to the evidence of vehicles, business tools, streets, standpoints, lists of prices, etc. Evidence is loaded directly or through interface into ERP of the customer.
An inseparable part of our modular system is also a wide range of reporting for managerial and user purposes. Reports are created following the evaluation of routes based on the user setup. Reports are based not only around the validity of traveled routes, types and amounts of differences, but also around the mapping of financial results linked with the carried-out tasks.
Problem solution
LOGISmart system focuses on the linkage of all activities related with regular movement and operations of vehicles. Planning, monitoring and evaluation so falls into one joint process. System can be used with regards to the following types of issues:
- waste disposal,
- distribution of goods,
- bus transport – local and national,
- commodity pick-up,
- winter infrastructure maintenance,
- summer infrastructure maintenance,
- pick-up and evidence of the movement of bulk-cargo containers,
- trade with secondary raw materials,
- pick-up of bins,
- maintenance of greenery.
Selected system characteristics
- proposal of route plan, where the route is set mainly by various points of interest (e.g. rubbish disposal site, bus stops, commercial premises, etc.),
- proposal of route plan, where the route is set mainly by various sectors (e.g. road sectors for the maintenance of winter/summer infrastructure, maintenance of greenery, etc.),
- automated optimization of routes based on set criteria,
- creation of complex management of system operators,
- generation of daily route planning (incl. exceptional – operative orders),
- navigation on dash-board PC terminal in each vehicle,
- comparison of planned routes and actual routes,
- identification of differences that have arisen as a consequence of daily pick-up incl. the reasoning behind them,
- evidence of occurring faults on the dash-board PC terminal during the drive with on-line transfer into the application,
- effective recognition and monitoring of claims,
- reporting over carried-out activities,
- mapping of stands, routes, points of interest on mapped basis,
- record of orders and resources,
- creation of exceptional orders and their insertion into the routes,
- linkage with orders from economic system and the possibility to place them into the route plan.
Gains and benefits of the system
- overview of the real movement and stops of the vehicles on the mapped-out basis allows for simplification, acceleration and better overview of information about the movement of vehicles,
- monitoring in form of graphical representation of various parameters linked with driving the vehicles, such as the fuel consumption, mileage, average speed and other parameters linked with the vehicle operation as well as the process of the activities of individual types of extensions, and that in real time and for individual sectors of their movement,
- long-term planning of the movement of the vehicle with automated optimization of routes in supervisory control,
- support of operating changes in route planning by using the dash-board PC terminal in the car,
- evaluation of traveled routes, identification of changes between expected and actual route (vehicle faults), incl. the evidence of the reasoning behind these differences,
- historical monitoring of planned and real routes,
- monitoring of up-to-date state as well as long-term trends of truckload, revenues, profits, faults of traveled routes and other indicators,
- evaluation of revenues and costs of orders as well as rides allows for the gain of information about the profitability of individual routes and entire organizational units,
- quick acquisition of materials for solving customer claims from the driver by using dash-board PC terminal in the vehicle brings up-to-date and real information directly from the routes to the supervisory control,
- planning and monitoring of routes directly over a map brings a quick and effective control of planned and real routes,
- considerable cost reduction following the introduction of this system:
- up to 20% cost savings related to fuel consumption following the optimization of routes,
- up to 50% cost savings following the identification of “illegal” pick-ups,
- up to 40% cost reduction in authorized claims of the customers.
