Secure Connection
The security of online services and preservation of complete confidentiality of all information which citizens exchange with bodies of state and public administration via the devices of information and communication technology constitute only one part of the overall security of use of information and communication technologies. The second and no less important part is the ensuring of secure access of all employees and other authorised persons for the use of applications and data, and to resources for the handover and sharing of information, for example email or the internet. Access security covers a broad range of activities and the technologies, equipment and tools corresponding thereto. The actual access security must be dealt with comprehensively and must constitute a unified, mutually complementing set of measures. Only in this way is it possible to attain true security of use of information and communication technologies for the performance of day-to-day working activities. This primarily involves protection against viruses, spam, phishing and generally harmful software (malware), protection against hacking and attacks, filtering of dangerous and undesirable content, protection of network against abuse or eavesdropping and also tools for defining the workers to use other resources, and primarily undesirable internet sources. The use of the services of outsourcing and hosting, backing up of working and sensitive data or utilisation of managed security services also contributes to ensuring security.
